It is, in case you haven't guessed, a camera small enough to be swallowed. The Pillcam takes thousands of snapshots of your gooey innards as it passes through your body. Delicious! It seems that some insurance companies are even covering this slightly less invasive diagnostic option. Technology is always taking the fun out of going to the doctor, no?

Is like skydiving in that when I leave the Doctor's office I can get a video of the procedure so that I can show my friends?
Sure. You get to pick your very own rocking soundtrack and everything. Try to stay away from "Pour Some Sugar on Me" and other stripper tunes.
Finaly, a slideshow even my granparents can appreciate.
Through a recent study, it has been found that a miniscule video camera implanted inside a pill could spot unusual growths in the colon or rectal region, but not as accurate as colonoscopy does. A scientist have stated that pillcam colon was safe, and can visualise the colon. If its really effective, then one can go for it.
